1990年 飞利浦电子光学发布PC控制的扫描电子显微镜XL系列，成为扫描电镜数字化的先驱

1996年 FEI交付第5000只液态金属离子源 Micrion发布其8000系列聚焦离子束系统, 用于IC掩膜修复

1996年 飞利浦电子光学收购美国ElectronScan公司及其”环境扫描(ESEM)”技术 飞利浦电子光学收购位于捷克布尔诺的Delmi公司
