Third Rock Ventures was founded in 2007 with the mission to launch transforming companies. We set out to build a different firm – a firm that was squarely focused on launching exceptional healthcare companies with passionate entrepreneurs, working in areas of disruptive science and medicine to make a difference in the lives of patients.

We are not just launching new healthcare companies - we are rapidly growing them, advancing pipelines to the clinic and developing new products. In just six short years, and during a period of time when early stage investing has been in flux, we have successfully raised more than $1.3 billion and invested in more than 31 companies to accomplish this mission.
