英国Stratophase
成立于2003年的Stratophase公司源于英国南安普顿大学的科研项目。由多加风险投资公司共同组建的Stratophase公司拥有多名技术专家与市场专业人员，在专业领域具有丰富的经验。其产品包括：生化探测器、红外激光系统、周期性极化铌酸锂（PPLN）及附件。

Stratophase started trading in 2003, following its spin out from the University of Southampton in the UK.

The Company is VC-funded by investors including Boston-based East Hill Management, Alex Cable who is President of Thorlabs Inc., New Jersey, the IP Group and the Sulis Seedcorn Fund.

The team includes the original inventors of the SpectroSens technology as well as senior managers with an in-depth experience of industry. Eight of the staff hold PhDs and the management team can claim a level of commercial expertise and technical knowledge which is exceptional for a young spin out enterprise.

The Company operates from its own facilities in Romsey which is near Southampton and the South Coast of the UK.

Richard Williams – CEO
Dr Richard Williams has been CEO of Stratophase for three years. Prior to joining he ran the multi-million pound optical fibre and device fabrication facility at Southampton University’s Optoelectronic Research Centre. He has a PhD in Physics from Oxford University, and has worked in both physics and engineering sponsored by Rolls Royce PLC and Rover PLC.

John Knowles – Chairman
After a career that took him to Divisional Manager at Plessey and Managing Director level in Morgan Crucible, John Knowles acquired Davin Optronics with a business partner in an MBI in 1990, growing the business to a £9m turnover. He is well connected in the detection industry and actively involved in a number of early stage companies in a similar field.

Henry Labram – Finance Manager
Henry Labram spent 30 years in the oil industry. He was appointed CFO of BP Europe in 1994 moving latterly to be a senior executive in BP Finance. He brings a depth of financial experience to Stratophase.

Greg Emmerson – Technology Manager
Dr Greg Emmerson was instrumental in the invention of the SpectroSens technology and is now responsible for coordinating all aspects of its development. He is supported by a truly multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists, providing the expert knowledge required to transform company IP into real-world applications.
