中国出版部成立于1970年，出版业务主要涉及英语教材、科学和汉语语言教学三大领域。

成功发行的《新标准英语》教材目前在25个省份的3千多万学生中使用，适用于小学一年级至大学二年级。教材包括两套小学教材、两套初中教材、一套高中教材和一套大学教材《新标准大学英语》。麦克米伦和其合作方还开发了一系列的英语阅读辅助图书和供高等院校学生使用的“大学英语创意”系列图书和《大学英语》教材。

《〈自然〉百年科学经典》共十卷，收录并翻译了《自然》期刊自 1869 年创刊以来发表的 800余篇最具影响力的经典论文。《自然》期刊是世界上领先的国际性科技期刊。

在汉语教学领域，麦克米伦的拳头产品针对海外的初级至中高级汉语学习者，其他辅助产品包括非常畅销的汉语分级读物系列《天天中文》和汉语学习词典。

China Publishing Division

Set up in 1970, the publishing activity of the China Publishing Division focuses on three areas: English, science and Chinese language teaching.

The highly successful New Standard English course is used in 25 provinces by more than 30 million students, from first-year primary school pupils to second-year university students.. The series consists of two primary courses, two junior high courses, a senior high course and a college course, New Standard College English. Macmillan and its partners also produce a range of supplementary English reading materials and the three-part Creative series and College English course, both for tertiary students.

Nature: the Living Record of Science, is a 10-volume bilingual collection of over 800 of the most influential papers published since 1869 by Nature, the world's leading scientific journal.

In the Chinese language teaching field, Macmillan's flagship title is Discover China, a course book designed for beginner to low-intermediate learners studying Chinese abroad. An accompanying range of books includes the highly popular graded Chinese reader series Tiantian Zhongwen (Chinese Every Day), and a Chinese character dictionary.

Social responsibility

Macmillan is highly committed to promoting quality teaching and learning practices in China. Macmillan China has cooperated with organizations including the British Council and Chinese education institutes to develop and support the professional development of Chinese teachers.
