ImmunoChemistry Technologies, LLC (ICT) is a biotechnology company based in Bloomington, Minnesota, USA. ICT is a limited liability company (LLC) and is owned and managed by four partners:
Gary L. Johnson, President
Dr. Brian W. Lee, Vice President of R&D
Sally Hed, Vice President of Marketing & Operations
Carol Lee, Board Member
History
ICT was founded in 1994 and financed by the owners. Since then, ICT has grown into a profitable business with many employees. ICT started as contract laboratory focusing on custom immunoassay development services and selling ELISA products. In 1999, ICT expanded its product lines by developing detection reagents for cell death and related areas of basic research. Today we have over 30 distributors selling our products worldwide. From 2008-2010, ICT was awarded almost $2 million from the NIH for four grant projects to develop in vivo tracer biomarker reagents. ICT has also established several key collaborations with academic and corporate partners to further develop its in-house technology for in vivo detection. In 2010, ICT reinvested over half of its income into R&D.
Products, Services, & Research
ICT is one of the world's leading suppliers of unique in vivo and in vitro detection tools critical for discovering promising investigational medicines. ICT's fluorescent detection probes are used to assess apoptosis and cell death in cultured cells and living animals. ICT's specialty in vitro probes detect active caspases, cathepsins, serine proteases, cholinesterase enzymes, and assess mitochondrial health. ICT’s proprietary FLIVO probes are used in vivo to assess apoptosis in living animal research models.?FLIVO may be used to assess the efficacy of chemotherapy, to quantify neurodegeneration, and as an early detector of eye disease, among other applications. It may eventually be used to better manage disease and personalize treatment.
FLIVO won LifeScience Alley's New Technology Showcase Award in Dec. 2008.
ICT's contract laboratory specializes in custom ELISA development, manufacturing, and testing services. As an out-growth of these services, ICT offers a specialty line of ELISA buffers and stabilizers for assay development and manufacturing.
