国际科学委员会 ICSU International Council for Science
成立于1931年，是一个非政府机构。目前拥有121个国家会员(National Members)以及30个科学联盟会员(Scientific Union Members)，旨在促进国际科学合作，造福人类社会。该会目前在亚太、拉丁美洲及非洲设有区域办公室。 ICSU每3年举行一次会员大会，会中除决定ICSU现阶段政策与方向之外，也提供全球科学家重要讨论交流平台。
ICSU的主要任务是通过动员国际上科学委员会的资源和知识，确定并提出对于科学发展和社会都非常重要的重大问题；促使全世界的科学家（不分国籍、种族、政治、语言和性别）参与到国际科学事业当中；促进不同学科不同国家（发展中国家和发达国家）的科学家之间的合作；另外，通过一种权威的、独立的方式激励国际上的科学界和科学家进行建设性的争论。在全球环境变化研究方面，ICSU组织并发起了几个大型的国际研究计划，如：IGBP、WCRP、IHDP和BIODIVERSITY。


  
The International Council for Science (ICSU) is a non-governmental organisation with a global membership of national scientific bodies (120 Members, representing 140 countries) and International Scientific Unions (31 Members).
Our mission
ICSU’s mission is to strengthen international science for the benefit of society. To do this, ICSU mobilizes the knowledge and resources of the international science community to:

Identify and address major issues of importance to science and society.
Facilitate interaction amongst scientists across all disciplines and from all countries.
Promote the participation of all scientists—regardless of race, citizenship, language, political stance, or gender—in the international scientific endeavour.
Provide independent, authoritative advice to stimulate constructive dialogue between the scientific community and governments, civil society, and the private sector.
