工业技术研究院 The Industrial Technology Research Institute ITRI  
财团法人工业技术研究院（简称工研院，英文简写：ITRI），总院位于台湾新竹县竹东镇，为中华民国经济部成立的财团法人，在台北市、新竹市、新竹县、台中市、台南市、高雄市等地皆设有院区或办事处，是台湾科技发展的重镇。工业技术研究院是国际级的应用科技研发机构，1973年成立，培育超过70位CEO、育成171家新创公司、并累积超过1万件专利。工研院拥有5千多位科技研发人员。

The Industrial Technology Research Institute  工業技術研究院, abbreviated 工研院; ITRI) is a non-profit research institute located in Taiwan under the supervision of the Republic of China Ministry of Economic Affairs. It conducts research and development in applied technologies to advance private sector growth. Founded in 1973, it gave birth to numerous key technologies now employed by the companies at the nearby Hsinchu Science Park and was instrumental in fostering the "Taiwan Miracle" and propelling Taiwan to become one of the "Four Asian Tigers".
