楚天科技创办于2002年，位于国家级宁乡经济技术开发区，占地300余亩。注册资本6600万元，总资产7.5亿元，2012年销售产值5.88亿元、利税总额过亿元。主营业务为制药装备，现有员工1900余人，是我国目前最大的生物医药装备研发制造商之一。

楚天科技建有中国制药装备行业首家国家级企业技术中心和博士后科研流动站，有200余人的技术和研发团队，起草制订了国家行业产品技术标准14项。楚天科技是湖南省双高（高新技术产品与高新技术企业）企业，湖南省知识产权优势培育企业，湖南省战略性新型产业重点企业，全国企事业单位知识产权培育试点企业。截止2013年2月28日，楚天科技申请专利1114项，公司拥有授权专利811项，其中，发明专利122项，主持起草制订了国家制药装备行业产品技术标准14项。

Truking Technology Limited was established in 2002, It is a mechatronics hi-tech enterprise mainly engaged in research, development, production and sales of pharmaceutical and food package machinery. Truking is the National Leading Private-owned High-tech Enterprise, Leading Enterprise of Chinese Industry, Major contributor of tax in Changsha City, Enterprise awards “Famous Brand in Hunan Province” and awarded “National Labor award”. Production base is in Changsha Ningxiang Economic Development Zone, Truking Technology Industrial park covers nearly 300,000m2. Truking has more than 1100 employees currently.

Truking mainly engaged in developing, design, fabrication, sales and service of pharmaceutical injectable machinery. This kind of equipment is the core device for pharmaceutical company to produce small volume ampoule, vial, powder injection, oral liquid and large volume infusion, etc. It can be divided into ampoule compact line, vial compact line, oral liquid compact line and infusion bottle compact line according to the difference of dosage form of the drugs produced. Generally the above compact line is composed of a series of single machine like the washing machine, drying & sterilizing machine, filling machine and sealing machine, and some auxiliary equipment like online weighing device and inspection machine. It is widely used in chemical medicine preparations, traditional Chinese medicine preparation, vaccine, blood products, health care products and veterinary medicine, etc.

Truking established national identified technology center and post-doctor research center to assist R&D center and pharmaceutical equipment engineering technology research center. Truking is the national technologies committee member units of standardization of the industry pharmaceutical equipment and the national enterprises and intellectual property pilot units. Successively participate in drafting and revision of 14 national industry standards that 10 of them have been executed. By the end of May, 2011, Truking has obtained 432 patent licenses and 49 of them are patent for invention. Truking is one of the enterprises that possess most patent in pharmaceutical industry in China.
