Our History

Consolidated Machine Corporation was founded by William A. Barnstead Sr. in 1946 (Cambridge, MA). Initially the company focused on the production of rolling door autoclaves and water stills for the Department of Defense. Consolidated quickly became known as an innovator and a technical resource for difficult engineering issues within the fields of its expertise.

For over 60 years the Company has enjoyed a reputation for manufacturing excellence and commitment to quality within the fields of sterilization and distillation.
