The Diolase 10™ laser system provides FDA indicated temporary pain relief to chiropractics and sports medicine.

We design and manufacture nearly 100% of our systems, components, and subassemblies at our headquarters in Irvine, California, which also houses engineering, clinical R&D, customer care, training, sales and marketing, and administrative. BIOLASE is ISO 9001 certified and FDA GMP with clean room operations. We also have manufacturing capabilities in Floss, Germany.

BIOLASE Innovation

As of December 31, 2011, we had 160 issued patents and 124 pending patent applications in the United States, Europe and other countries around the world. While we hold a variety of patents that cover a broad range of technologies and methods, approximately 70% of these patents provide market protection for our core technologies incorporated in our laser systems and related accessories.

BIOLASE laser technology has been FDA indicated for use in plastic surgery, dermatology, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, arthroscopy, ear/nose/throat, neurosurgery, pulmonary surgery, podiatry, gastroenterology and general surgery. For example, YSGG technology is capable of restoring the elasticity of the optic nerve and muscle to allow the eye to refocus, curing Presbyopia.

BIOLASE History

We were originally formed as Societe Endo Technic, SA ("SET") in 1984 in Marseilles, France, to develop and market various endodontic and laser products. In 1987, SET merged into Pamplona Capital Corp., a public holding company incorporated in Delaware. In 1994, we changed our name to BIOLASE Technology, Inc.
