Vidisco ltd. is a leading designer and manufacturer of state of the art portable X-ray inspection systems. The company was founded in 1988 specifically for the purpose of finding a portable solution to X-ray inspection. We currently have two lines of products: CCD and amorphous Silicon (a-Si) flat panel based. Vidisco produces the smallest and lightest portable X-ray inspection systems in the world with the entire system fitting into one suitcase including the X-ray source. Our systems are used in over 75 countries around the world for various applications that also include homeland security. Some additional applications are:

With our foXrayII PC based X-ray inspection system, we revolutionized the industry; offering real time images acquired in seconds on a laptop screen for the first time, combined with a one approach image cycle and remote control of the X-ray source. Our foXrayIIe line of products offers 10 bit CCD images.

Vidisco has been continuously on the front line of R&D for the last 20 years. We were the first company to achieve truly portable a-Si flat panel inspection systems in 2001; providing cutting edge high resolution and 14 bit dynamic range (16,384 grey levels) images. Our Flat foX-17 system offers a large imaging area and the foX-Rayzor is the thinnest imager ever produces - just 13 mm (even thinner than a film cassette). We are also the only company to offer truly portable Dual Energy (organic/inorganic detection) capabilities and in 2008 we launched our unique XE-DE Module, which enables taking Dual Energy images with a pulsed X-ray source.

Vidisco puts an emphasis on teamwork and ingenuity, investing much time and effort into new ideas and technology. Vidisco also builds tailor-made custom designed systems for special projects and customers, works with most of the major EOD/IED robot producers around the world, and is a supplier of specialized X-ray systems to some of the most well known international aerospace companies, providing unique solutions both in the production and post production stages. It comes as no surprise that Vidisco is the exclusive supplier to the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces), however well over 98% of our sales are to foreign customers.
