德国SpheronVR公司建立于1997年，是一家股份制公司，位于德国西部的凯撒斯劳滕。做为一家经营高技术的公司，SpheronVR专为VR和专业媒体提供软件和硬件全景技术服务。公司全景产品在很多行业得到了广泛的应用。
2000年，SpheronVR公司与英国MAXIMT公司一起合作，为公安刑侦领域专门设计开发的全自动案件现场资料管理系统――R2S，将数字刑侦的概念引入到实际案例管理中，是传统刑侦工作的一种革命性的进步，在国外取得了极高的评价，英国警方、美国FBI都采用了R2S，并取得了极大的效益。
