日本Satake   
1896年 Riichi Satake 先生在日本创立了 SATAKE 公司，是现任董事长 Toshiko Satake 女士的祖父，这家公司最早在日本推出电动稻米磨粉机，将米磨成米浆。经过百多年来的努力和发展，成为各种谷物设备制造的大公司，在食品市场占有重要的一席之地。1980年在美国德州休斯敦拥有分公司，1991年时将英国的面粉设备工厂纳入旗下，成为多元经营的跨国大企业。
类似这种企业的发展，早期从最简单的机械制造开始，逐渐的踏入食品制造的领域，各种不同的原料可以发展出广泛的食品制品出来，其规模越来越大，产品越来越多，触角越来越广，在自由化及国际化的趋势之下，总有一天会在全世界各地制造销售该公司的系列产品，他山之石可以攻错，企业经营需要有眼光及魄力。
SATAKE 公司 UK Division
日本 SATAKE 公司拥有一家英国老字号的磨粉机械公司，在此叙述英国分公司的历史。早在1878年时，所有的磨坊都是采用石磨将谷物磨制成粉，但是Henry Simon先生在那一年推出了他所设计的第一座采用滚轮磨粉机的制粉工厂，这位机械设计天才将原本石磨的时代改变为机械滚轮磨粉的新时代。他的工厂位于英国的曼撤斯特，磨粉系统称为「Gradual Reduction」。
在1881年时，Henry Simon先生为 McDougall Brother 建造一座整套全世界最先进的自动滚轮磨粉面粉工厂，这项成就震惊了整个工业界。到了1892年，英国、欧洲、非洲、印度、南非、澳洲及日本等地，已经有四百多家面粉工厂采用「Simon」系统的磨粉设备。短短二十年之内，他已经将面粉的传统磨制方式革命性的改变成他发明的系统。
在英国Lancashire地区的 Rochdale 有家 Thomas Robinson & Son 父子公司，在1838年时从事木材生意，约在1882年他们发现经营磨粉设备是一项扩充事业的好机会，利用现有的商店、工厂及装配零件改为生产销售制粉设备大有可为，1884年 Thomas Robinson & Son 父子公司宣告他们可以生产制造全套的面粉工厂磨粉设备。
Henry Simon 有限公司成立于1897年，而 Thomas Robinson & Son 父子公司则成立于1880年，早期 Henry Simon 将他所设计的机器在欧洲贩卖时，他在1902年建造属于自己的机械工厂。这两家公司各自在制粉设备市场上经营了超过一个世纪，占有大部份的外销市场比例。到了1988年10月份的时候，两家公司合并为Robinson Milling Systems Ltd.，又在1991年时被 SATAKE 集团并购为 Satake Robinson UK Ltd.，不久改名为 Satake UK Ltd.。1998年正式称为 Satake UK Division，Satake的英国分部。
追根究底为何日本的 SATAKE 公司会并购英国的公司？日本的 Riichi Satake 先生在1896年成立磨粉公司，得力于来自苏格兰的 Douglas 和 Grant 两位先生的技术指导，而 Henry Simon 先生则是在1898年首度引进他的制粉设备到日本的长崎，这些历史因素创造出合作机缘。
