美国星科公司（CIMCORE）1973年由美国Homer Eaton等人创立，1986年开始销售移动式关节臂，1989年法国ROMER公司成立，1996年ROMER公司推出1000系列移动式三坐标测量机（PCMM），2000年法国ROMER开始以CIMCORE为品牌在北美以外的市场销售移动式CMM及相关产品，CIMCORE Infinite 系列PCMM是目前世界上最精密的关节臂式测量机，2004年美国星科公司被瑞典海克斯康（HEAXGON）集团公司并购。

   
ROMER is the originator of the portable measuring arm CMM (PCMM), having introduced the first units to the market over 20 years ago, an evolution of an original design that one of ROMER’s founders patented in 1974.
