Since 1990 Imagenation has been helping its customers reduce the cost and accelerate delivery of machine vision (MV) systems. Our intelligent frame grabbers — built on a variety of form factors and bus standards — are well known for their dependability, technical support and price/performance leadership. They support a large number of traditional and emerging MV applications, including semiconductor, manufacturing automation equipment, security and surveillance systems, medical/ophthalmological instrumentation and traffic control devices.

Many companies use Imagenation as an extension of their own vision system design staff to accelerate the decisions involving product specifications, integration and design. By outsourcing a vision component, companies eliminate the problems of "roll-your-own" solutions and meet their customers’ most demanding requirements on time and on budget.

In October 2000, CyberOptics Corporation, Minneapolis, MN (NASDAQ NMS: CYBE) acquired Imagenation. CyberOptics is a recognized worldwide leader in optical technology and inspection systems designed to improve yields and throughput in manufacturing processes.

The acquisition was strategic for both companies, providing the opportunity to bring increased technologies to our customers and the marketplace. Imagenation continues to operate out of our office in Portland, Oregon. Management and the rest of the Imagenation team remain in place, providing customers with the expected superior products and support.
